Leadership Gifts change student lives and yours. With a gift of $3,500, either outright or via monthly installments, you can provide a full summer research scholarship to a highly deserving Biology undergraduate. You can choose a name for your scholarship (i.e. Smith Family Research Scholar) meet your scholarship recipient and learn first-hand about the dramatic impact that your giving is making.
Major Gifts are the perfect way to make a personally meaningful and substantial impact. With a gift of $25,000, either outright or over a period of up to 5 years, you can support an undergraduate or graduate student, advance research in biomedicine, bioenergy or agriculture biotech support or support vital educational enrichment programs.
Endowment Gifts help you realize your legacy. With a gift of $50,000, you can establish a named, endowment fund for a permanent undergraduate scholarship, graduate fellowship or even a new lecture series or new program. You have the option to make an outright gift or a pledge of up to 5 years. Once your endowment is vested, it will provide annual support on ongoing basis and the principal balance will grow, thus ensuring sustained giving over your lifetime.
Planned Gifts enable you to have a transformative impact on UC San Diego and our world. With a gift of $1,000,000, you can establish a named, endowed academic chair in the biological sciences. Endowed academic chairs are the hallmark of all great universities, a tradition dating back to the 1700s. By establishing your own academic chair, you will ensure that scientists of international stature with highly distinguished records of teaching, research, and publication will continue to come and thrive at UC San Diego. Planned gifts come in a variety forms - family foundations and charitable trusts, wills and estate bequests and more. They can also be combined with current gifts.
