UCSD Postdoctoral Association – Biology Career Development Chapter

The UCSD Postdoctoral Association – Biology Career Development Chapter is committed to providing career development opportunities for all postdoctoral researchers in the Division of Biology. The PDA – BCDC organizes academic and non-academic career development seminars, teaching opportunities and training workshops.

An open, fluid leadership of postdoctoral researchers guides event organization with assistance from Division staff and a faculty mentor. The UCSD PDA – BCDC envisions our postdoctoral scholars having every opportunity to succeed in academic and non-academic careers.

Places and Offices  

UCSD Intergroup Relations Program offers a unique program called Intergroup Dialogue. The program provides participants with an in-depth opportunity to acquire and practice essential intergroup relations and leadership skills needed to be a productive and culturally competent citizen in a diverse democracy.

The Division of Biological Sciences offers Intergroup Dialogue courses and has partnered with the Intergroup Relations Program.

Graduate students and postdoctoral fellows interested in participating in the Biology Intergroup Dialogue course are encouraged to take a training course that develops participants’ knowledge and skills as potential facilitators of intergroup dialogues.
