Omnis is an application development environment used by both the central campus and Biological Sciences to create database applications. It is primarily a client/server product. This means that the programs it creates run on a client computer (in our case this usually means a Macintosh) and accesses a server (a sybase database server in our case) to retrieve information. Among other advantages, this allows us to take advantage of the Mac interface.
Simply enter your username in the ID field and your password in the Password field and click on Logon or press the return key.
