The following Syllabus gives only the "Tentative Topics" covered in each Lecture. For a variety of reasons, actual Topics covered will vary. To see the ACTUAL Topics covered in each Lecture, look at the Lectures Web page.
The First Midterm will cover material from the beginning of the course to the First Midterm. The Second Midterm will cover material from the First Midterm to the Second Midterm. The Final Exam will cover the entire course, but will emphasize material covered since the Second Midterm in about a 2:1 ratio. Thus, material up to the Second Midterm and material since the Second Midterm will be more or less equally weighted on the Final Exam.
Course Prerequisites:
Prerequisites for BIMM 100, Molecular Biology, are Genetics and either Biochemistry course, as well as their prerequisites (BILD 1, The Cell; Organic Chemistry).
You are responsible for knowing the subject matter of these prerequisites.
If you take BIMM 100 without having taken the prerequisites, you will statistically do more poorly than students who have taken the prerequisites:
proceed at your own risk and the risk of your
future plans !!
