Facilities, Repair and Construction Services
Located in Bonner Hall, room 1421
The Division’s Shops are a self-supporting, non-profit administrative unit whose purpose is to provide support to the Division of Biological Sciences in three functional areas: Repair/Construction, Electronics, and Lab Renovation. Work is performed on a recharge basis and is billable to most campus fund sources. Recharge rates vary depending on the level of technical depth and experience required for the project. Estimates are provided free of charge except with some limits for the repair of electronics.
To request an estimate or to schedule services for maintenance and repair services (e.g. installing shelving, painting, countertops, moving equipment, or small lab renovations) please send your request via email to bioshophelp@ucsd.edu.
To report building related failures or building maintenance issues, please send your request via email to biofacilities@ucsd.edu.
In urgent or emergency situations, please write URGENT or EMERGENCY in the subject line and send to both email addresses.
Our work order tracking system will generate an automated reply message that will include a tracking/case number. Please supply this number when contacting us regarding your work request.
